I promised some thoughts, so here they are. Because no one else is talking about it ever. I saw the call, and saw that it was bad. I heard Jim Joyce’s apology and felt that it was sincere. I have all the respect in the world for Jim Joyce. He stood there like a man while the Tigers yelled at him, and didn’t get defensive. He looked at the call and saw that he was wrong. He offered a sincere apology for taking history away from this pitcher, and a city that really needed. So, yes, I respect Jim Joyce, but I have ZERO sympathy for the guy.
