On this day in 1985, D Boon of rock band The Minutemen died in a car accident in the Arizona desert. A friend of mine and I were once talking about music and junk and this question came up, “what would happen if D Boon hadn’t died?” We both agreed that the Minutemen would have written the greatest protest song ever in response to the Iraq war.
Anyway, Rest In Peace D Boon.
And Joe Strummer, but for me, more D Boon.
